WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?

I confidently and strongly recommend Abhirami Gunasingam and Bridges Care and Education Center. As her RIE® Mentor Teacher™, I have solid knowledge of her gifted skills to support families with very young children who want the high quality care that all children deserve. With her sound background and sensitively educated approach, Abhirami can provide space and time for optimal infant brain and body development through relationship-based care, the essence of Magda Gerber’s Educaring® Approach. This is a pioneering approach that nearly forty years ago anticipated what science now tells us: that babies thrive with sensitive care that is responsive to their cues and developmental needs. Abhirami will demonstrate through guided observations the many ways to involve parents, allowing everyone attached -- primary and secondary figures -- to answer her basic question: “Is this beneficial for the baby?.” Using evidence of informed practice, this consummate professional is completely able to advocate for your child and for her staff using evidence of informed best practices to assure securely attached, enriched relationships.

Our child arrives in a good mood and leaves in a great one each day.  BCEC is a great environment for him to learn independence in emotionally supportive care.

We would not be the parents we are, nor would our child be the smart, kind and empathetic child he is if it weren't for the support and guidance of BCEC.  From learning stories to intentional play and meals the staff at BCEC provide our family with what we need to thrive.

I feel safe with my child in care.  I don't have to worry about my child because they are getting the best care.  I don't know what I would do without the support of BCEC.  I am a better parent because of their help and support.

There is no greater comfort than seeing your child feeling secure where they spend their days.  BCEC, Abhi & Allison have created that atmosphere and strong bond with my child that has built a foundation for his development.

I have enjoyed watching my son grow and learn over the last year.  BCEC has been a great partner in making that happen!

BCEC is a wonderful home day care near MSU that is run like a center in many ways;  it's really the best of both worlds.  BCEC is run by two highly trained professionals.  The entire house has been flipped into a daycare, with 2 bedrooms used for napping.  My son has his own comfy nap mat with a framed family photo above his sleep space.  He often naps for 3 hours!

There is an art studio and beautiful outdoor space.  Abhi & Allison have put so much care and thought into the space and program, I just can't imagine a better place.

This is the only place where, when I drop him off, he seems very comfortable and engaged right away!

Absolutely.  There was never an evaluation or praise, so to speak, of how they did something and they were given ample time to problem solve as they saw fit.  In addition, their play was respected as they were not interrupted and they were allowed to play with whatever interested them.

I loved seeing Abhirami’s video about her in home RIE based care.  It was a way to incorporate the RIE philosophy that I have never considered.  I loved watching the children learn about themselves and the world around them.  Abhirami deftly showed how RIE fit into this setting and gave a great view into how she incorporated RIE with her charges.  I appreciated how she encouraged the kids through their struggles without giving them more help than they needed and how she celebrated their eventual success with words of affirmation.
